State Organization “Gagarin Research&Test Cosmonaut Training Center” was created to provide implementation of manned space flight programs, scientific-research and development works in the sphere of space exploration research and spacecraft construction, cosmonaut training, safe residence of cosmonauts on orbit, cosmonaut rehabilitation after space flight performance. National manned space exploration is one of science and engineering spheres Russia holds world’s leading positions in. Since 1960 the tasks of cosmonaut training for space flight performance are solved by our Center which passed several stages of its development including improvement of its structure, development of cosmonaut training facilities and accumulation of experience of cosmonaut training for flying any spacecraft. Currently the Center is experiencing an organization transformation which however does not influence the unique laboratory-simulation and test facilities which have been created over last years. We are inviting everyone who is concerned to become familiar with the summary of the Center history and achievements. Space is the future of the Earth civilization.
