DATE AND PLACE OF BIRTH:  September 28, 1971 in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region, Russia.

EDUCATION:
In 1992 graduated from Eisk VVAUL; obtained «pilot-engineer» qualification.

OCCUPATION BEFORE JOINING COSMONAUT CORPS:
Since August 1992 till February 1998 served as pilot-instructor of Eisk VVAUL training-air regiment, and since February 1998 till September 2003 - pilot-instructor, and then air flight commander of Eisk VVAUL training-air regiment.
Since September 2003 serves as the air flight commander of the GCTC 70th Separate test training air regiment of special purpose named after V.S. Seregin (Chkalovskiy), Moscow military district.
Mastered Yak-52 and L-39 aircrafts. Total flight time - more than 1300 hours. Air force major

DATE OF JOINING COSMONAUT CORPS (GROUP NUMBER, DATE):
On October 11, 2006 at the cosmonaut selection joint committee session was enrolled to the cosmonauts corps to perform generic space training (GST).
