DATE AND PLACE OF BIRTH: February 20, 1980in Drezden (GDR) on father's service place.

EDUCATION:
In 2002 graduated from Krasnodar VAI; obtained «pilot-engineer» qualification.

OCCUPATION BEFORE JOINING COSMONAUT CORPS:
Since August 1997till October 2002- Krasnodar VAI cadet; obtained «pilot-engineer» qualification.
Since October 2002 serves on the position of the pilot-captain assistant of the Air Force troop unit, Moscow military district.Mastered L-39 and Il-18aircrafts with more than 1700 hours flight time, and more than 900 of which as the combat operations participant during the antiterrorist operations in the North Caucasus.
Currently gets an extra-mural education in Moscow economics and law institute. Air force captain.

DATE OF JOINING COSMONAUT CORPS (GROUP NUMBER, DATE):
On October 11, 2006 at the cosmonaut selection joint committee session wasenrolled to the cosmonauts corps to perform generic space training (GST).
