EDUCATION:
In 1996 graduated from Kacha VVAUL; obtained “pilot-engineer” qualification.

OCCUPATION BEFORE JOINING COSMONAUT CORPS:
Since October 1996 till February 1997 served as a pilot in the air force troop unit of the 37th air fleet, and from February till July
1997 - senior pilot of the air force troop unit of the special purpose Command.
Since July 1997 served in positions of senior pilot, air flight commander, chief of staff - deputy squadron commander, air flight commander of the air force troop unit of the 14th air fleet and 14th air force and air defence army (Chita region), Siberian military district.
Mastered aircrafts: L-39 with 287 flight hours and MiG-29 with more than 150 flight hours. Performed 110 sky dives, has “instructor-paratrooper” rank. Air force major.

DATE OF JOINING COSMONAUT CORPS (GROUP NUMBER, DATE):
On October 11, 2006 at the cosmonaut selection joint committee session was enrolled to the cosmonauts corps to perform generic space training (GST).
