Served as a military pilot in the Far East.
From 1992 – 1998 – served in the Far East military district of the 1-st Air Force army.
from 2000 – the chief, organizational-planning branch, 2-nd division, GCTC.
DATE OF JOINING COSMONAUT CORPS (GROUP NUMBER, DATE):
January20, 2003 –  received the approval of Main Medical Board (MMB) to be admitted to special training.
May 29, 2003 - by the State Interdepartmental Board decision recommended for the enrollment in the cosmonauts corps.
June 16, 2003 - started the course of basic training, which successfully completed in June, 2005 (with an excellent mark).
July 5, 2005 - a cosmonaut-tester according to the Interdepartmental Qualification Commission decision
RATING: a third-class military pilot.
Total flying hours at the moment of the enrollment in the cosmonaut corps are 560 hours. 25 parachute jumps. Learned to handle the Vilga-35A, Blanik L-13, L-39, Su-24M planes.
